After completing my training in the UK I have completed extensive post-grad education of the latest evidence-based practices including the Connect Therapy Series. Treatment may include; diagnosis and goal setting, muscle releasing, taping, and an individualized rehab program to get you back to feeling 100%.
Aiming to get you back in action as soon as possible, restoring your mobility and strength to 100%.
Denise has a particular interest in treating sporting injuries being a long-time soccer player herself. She understands the importance of returning to the field as soon as possible and strives to ensure you are 100% for a quick and pain-free return.
Common injuries she treats:
Back pain affects approximately 80% of adults at some point in their life. Physiotherapy helps to diagnose and treat recurring back or neck pain.
Recurrent pain in your lower back requires proper assessment by a physiotherapist to diagnose the underlying problem creating a lower back strain. Postural advice is an integral part of physio treatment.
Treatment may involve:
Diagnosing and treating pressure around the upper neck and head to relieve pain and dizziness.
There are many different causes for headaches, for example: blood pressure, stress, muscle tension, jaw problems, poor posture, dehydration, cervical spine and tumours.
Physiotherapy can alleviate headaches originating from cervical spine dysfunction, muscle tightness, neck, jaw problems and poor posture. Unremitting pounding or intense headaches should be checked by your doctor before physiotherapy.
Treatment involves a thorough assessment of posture, spine, upper limbs and pelvis.
Denise has studied dizziness and is well equipped to treat your symptoms depending on the cause. She can perform techniques to rectify BPPV (Benign positional paroxysmal vertigo) or retrain the vestibular system.
Treatment and strengthing programs to ensure a maximal return to pre-surgery mobilty and strength.
After Orthopaedic surgery, Physiotherapy is often required to ensure that the affected muscle or joint can return to normal mobility and strength.
Denise can help you recover from surgery such as:
Treatment may include:
The use of sterile, one-time use needles applied to tight muscles to decrease tension and stimulate changes in movement.
Denise has been trained and qualified via post-graduate courses to utilise the technique of dry needling during treatment.
While dry needling can be very beneficial to recovery if you feel uncomfortable with this type of therapy, Denise will not use it as part of your treatment plan.
